EBLIDA welcomes the result of the vote of the European Parliament on the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) on Wednesday 4th July 2012. 478 MEPs voted against the trade agreement, 39 in favour, and 165 abstained. Read more >

EBLIDA and IFLA urge MEPs to reject ACTA

Ahead of a vote by the European Parliament on Wednesday 4th July, EBLIDA, along with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), has today issued a statement calling on MEPs to reject the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA). ACTA is a proposed international agreement aimed at creating a stronger framework for global enforcement of intellectual property rights. Read more >
