Press Release on the attack on Salman Rushdie

EBLIDA condemns the premeditated attack against the author Salman Rushdie, a fierce defender of freedom of thought and expression. EBLIDA is strenuously working for a sustainable, democratic and equitable society, in which religious intolerance has no place.

We wish Salman Rushdie a full and speedy recovery and hope to see soon his voice raised again in the cause for the protection of human rights and against those that would silence the word of the author in society today.
