Press Release on AfLIA & EBLIDA - Memorandum of agreement

Two likeminded organizations, AfLIA (African Library and Information Associations and Institutions) and EBLIDA (The European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Associations) signed a Memorandum of Agreement on 26th of August 2019 at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Athens, Greece.
The aim is to foster closer collaboration between these two organizations in advancement of knowledge and access to information to drive sustainable development and the implementation of UN 2030 Sustainable development Goals.
Mr Mandla Ntombela, President of AfLIA and Mr Ton van Vlimmeren, President of EBLIDA signed the document in the presence of the Directors of EBLIDA, Mr Giuseppe Vitiello and Ms Buhle Mbambo-Thata, Director, Resource Development AfLiA.
