Press Release: EBLIDA President Ton Van Vlimmeren is appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau.

EBLIDA, The European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Associations, is extremely proud to congratulate our President, Mr. Ton Van Vlimmeren, on having achieved a royal decoration from the Deputy Mayor of Utrecht, Anke Klein, on Friday afternoon last.
Shortly after the EBLIDA Executive Board Meeting on Friday, 4th June, Mr. Van Vlimmeren heard the news that he is appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau.

The Order of Orange-Nassau has been in existence since April 4, 1892. Individuals who have made a special contribution to society are eligible for an award in this order, for example, volunteers who are committed to young people, the environment, (informal) care, sports, neighbourhood associations or refugees.
The Orange-Nassau dynasty has been fundamental for Europe. We are proud that our President is in first line to make the history of the Netherlands and Europe.
