EBLIDA Members present at the IFLA WLIC 2012 in Helsinki

15 August 2012

The IFLA WLIC is a wonderful opportunity to meet IFLA and EBLIDA members. Lots of associations representatives were present. A lot of sessions were of interest for the association. Cloud computing, copyright reform and the question of freedom of access to information were at the core of the sessions EBLIDA director attended.

Meanwhile, EBLIDA took the opportunity of this conference to present a poster called Ebooks in libraries, A European Campaign by EBLIDA. The poster attracted a lot of questions from the visitors who were very interested in the topic, the organisation of the work and the lobbying approach led by EBLIDA.

EBLIDA President (Klaus-Peter Böttger, 2nd from the left) and Executive Commitee members (Ulrika Dömeloff Matsson and Lone Knakkergaard, 3rd and 4th from the left) along with Expert groups members (Harald Mueller, 1st from the left) as well as the Ebooks task Force Chair (Gerald Leitner, 2nd picture, 2nd from the left) took the opportunity to meet in front of the poster to increase EBLIDA visibility and support EBLIDA Director (Vincent Bonnet, 2nd picture , 1st from the left) in his advocacy work.
