Communication strategies for libraries – Conference: Prague, Czech Republic: 26 February 2014

Libraries position themselves in the knowledge society with new innovative products and services. Improving the image of libraries via a communication strategy plays a crucial role.
- How can we strengthen the perception of the library by the public?
- How can we teach customers and users about the "library brand"?
- How can we communicate the capabilities of libraries to public administrators and donors?
The conference addresses these issues and provides selected examples of the successful communication strategies adopted by urban libraries in Nuremberg, Essen and Prague.
The program also provides for the presentation of the new EBLIDA campaign about e-books in libraries "The right to e-read".
The conference takes place in Prague, on the occasion of EBLIDA’s working meeting and is organised by the Goethe-Institut and the Czech SKIP Library Association in cooperation with EBLIDA.
