BLOG POST: European Copyright Reforms - 7 Ways to Promote Innovation, Creativity and Heritage

In February 2017, Jüri Ratas, Prime Minister of Estonia, the member state currently in charge of the Presidency of the Council of the EU until December 2017, called for continent unity declaring that “striving towards a seamless physical and digital connectivity is in the interest of the whole European Union as economic success cannot be separated from the free movement of goods, services, people, capital, and knowledge”.
Calling for seamless physical and digital connectivity as well as free circulation of knowledge is in line with the request from libraries for meaningful copyright reform.
