Letters sent to Commissioners in response to the proposals to extend copyright protection in sound recordings.
The EBLIDA Expert Group on Information Law wrote to the following European Commissioners on 19 June 2008 to state that we strongly disagree with Internal Market & Services Commissioner Charlie McCreevy's proposals to extend the term of copyright protection in sound recordings (and performances in them) from the current 50 years to 95 years:
- Janez Potocnik (Science and Research);
- Viviane Reding (InfoSoc).
