EBLIDA celebrated its annual Council Meeting in parallel with the eighth annual Congress of the BAD, the Association of Portuguese Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists (Congresso Nacional de Bibliotecários, Arquivistas e Documentalistas),  held on 12, 13 and 14 May 2004, with the theme "On the Crossroads of Information and Culture: (Re) inventing the Profession".
